Winter is coming, we need your help. There has been a dramatic influx of immigrants into our area from sunny Venezuela and Columbia. Being from a moderate climate, they find themselves faced with cold weather and they have no cold weather clothing. Many have arrived with t-shirts, shorts, and sandals—not very conducive to working or going to school now that fall is here and winter is approaching.
The Herriman Police Department is heading up a “Coat Drive” as most of the immigrants are in the Bluffdale/Herriman area.
The request is for coats, hats, gloves, boots, etc. for all ages.
We will be collecting winter clothes till January. The donation box is in City Hall (2222 W 14400 S).
