Missed Trash/Recycle/Green Waste pickup

  1. What happens if I overfill my container?

    An overloaded container happens when your trash or recyclingmaterials exceed the top and prevents the lid from closing easily or cover the ground around the container. It also applies when extra debris is found on top of a closed container lid. Overages may lead to an incomplete service.

    If occurring frequently, you may need to order an additional can.

  2. Missed Trash/Recycle/Green Waste Pickup

    Prior to submitting, if this is done on your scheduled pick-up date please DO NOT submit it until the next day if they are not emptied. See FAQ on the Utilities main page.

    ** Please note that the drivers usually drive down one side of the street and come back later in the day to get the other side, so if you see a truck emptying one side and not the other, don't stress. If it's after 6pm, please submit.**

    Please also note, if you have already had a Courtesy pick up, Waste Management cannot go back as it is a one-time courtesy. Please make sure your cans are out prior to 7:00 AM

    Waste Management also has GPS Tracking with Cameras and the footage will be reviewed for missed pick ups to improve service.

  3. Recycle Week*

    Which week is your recycling due to it being every other week. There is a Map above in the "prior to submitting" you can view which week. It is temperamental so call if it doesn't work.

  4. **Holiday's can cause delays such as January 1st, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day & December 25th. If any of these days it will be recovered the next day.**

  5. Governmental entities must obtain and process only the minimum amount of personal data reasonably necessary to efficiently achieve a specified purpose, retained for required period. Utah Code § 63A-19-401(2)(c)

  6. What day is your regular Trash day?*

    Please leave your can on the curb to be emptied. If today is your scheduled trash day, please do not submit unless it is after 6pm.

  7. Which Can was missed?*

    *Green Waste is only from March 1st to the last day in December*

  11. Please let us know if you would like any messages passed on to Waste Management.

  12. Once submitted make sure that your can that was missed for pick-up is placed out on the curb (where you place it for pick-up) and we will send this to Waste Management to key in a ticket. Please allow 24-48 hours for recovery.

    Photos help, if you have a way of attaching them, including where you placed it will be helpful for the team to determine why it was missed.
